Summer in the Union 2017

Welcome, new Bruins! Thank you for stopping by our table at Summer in the Union! We are so glad that many of you showed interest towards learning about Vietnamese culture and serving the community.

So what is it that we do, exactly? And how can you get involved with VNLC?
Vietnamese Language and Culture (VNLC) is a student-led organization that aims to  promote and preserve Vietnamese customs by upholding the values of cultural involvement and educational advocacy. We have community service events, such as teaching Vietnamese language classes in the youth community (SVT) and forming a high school tutoring and mentorship program (REACHE). VNLC also hosts an annual Tet Festival at UCLA, which enables individuals of all ages to engage in and become more aware of traditional Vietnamese activities. Our general meetings are on Thursdays of even weeks from 5-6PM in Ackerman Room 2410! Come on out to learn more about Vietnamese language and culture, as well as meet people with common interests and experiences.

Not Vietnamese? Not a problem!
Even if you’re not Vietnamese, it won’t prevent you from meeting new people, getting to know a new culture, serving the local community, and having a great time! We also host fun socials throughout the quarter where we go out to grab food and drinks, explore Los Angeles, and bond with one another.

We hope that you enjoy the rest of your summer vacation, and we look forward to seeing you all again in the Fall! Don’t forget to check out the rest of our website, and don’t hesitate to contact us at vnlcclub@gmail.com!
